“Chinese represent each year with an animal. The first day of the new year falls on a different date between 21 January and 19 February. The day of crescent is accepted as the first day of the new year. During three days, Hong Kong citizens luxuriate the official holidays and festivals. The city is completely covered with a carnival atmosphere. Flower bazaars are swarmed by people during day and night. Everybody hugs the bouquets to take to home, for they believe the bunches of flowers bring fortune and success. The celebrations and carnival are programmed through a three day long organization. Greetings start with an acoustic light show. By the morning of first day they visit the temples. Ceremonial walk is done in evening. The walk becomes a complete carnival by the company of various groups from parts of China and shows performed by different countries.”
